爱普科技宣布加入OpenCAPI联盟

爱普科技宣布加入OpenCAPI联盟,成为这个基于开放式协同加速处理器接口 (Coherent Accelerator Processor Interface)的开发社区的一员。

 

爱普科技股份有限公司(AP Memory,TWSE:6531)以创新的DRAM及IP产品,为物联网(IoT)产品及高效能运算(High Performance Computing)等新应用提供解决方案。作为世界领先的客制化存储器IC设计厂商,爱普科技今日宣布加入OpenCAPI联盟,成为这个基于开放式协同加速处理器接口 (Coherent Accelerator Processor Interface)的开发社区的一员。



借助此次加入OpenCAPI联盟的机会,爱普科技将致力于与联盟成员一起合作,推动高效能运算应用创新。参与OpenCAPI联盟的成员,将以OpenCAPI的“高效能协同总线标准(high-performance coherent bus standard)”为基础来进行开发,此标准设计的初衷正是为了满足产业界快速增长的需求,尤其是在先进数据中心服务器、内存、加速器、网通及存储技术等方面。利用OpenCAPI内存接口(OpenCAPI Memory Interface, OMI)规格,开发者可以在内存与其他硬件加速器(例如FPGAs, GPUs或ASICs)间完成高带宽的数据传输,使其在数据导向的运算功能上比传统系统更有效率。



爱普科技的Very High-bandwidth Memory (VHMTM)技术以在先进3D IC中实现前所未有的低功耗、高内存带宽为首要目标。客制化的VHMCubeTM产品将着重于满足人工智能(AI)、网通(networking)等应用的系统单芯片(SoC)对高带宽、高容量近内存(near memory)的需求。



“内存带宽是先进硬件加速器升级中一个关键性的挑战。VHMTM与OpenCAPI内存接口(OMI)总线标准的结合,可在高效能运算的应用场景中呈现出更优异的系统效能表现。”爱普科技的刘景宏副总表示。同时作为爱普科技AI事业部的主管,他补充道:“我们非常高兴能够以贡献者层级的会员身份(Contributor Level Member)加入OpenCAPI联盟,并与其他业界领导者一起加速近内存计算(near-memory computing)的发展,开发出更多创新的解决方案。”
