愛普攜手來頡,佈局3D封裝電源管理

愛普科技以新台幣5億元取得來頡科技股份有限公司(6799 TW) 4佰萬股股份,也期望將愛普3D堆疊先進封裝經驗和技術進一步推展至電源管理應用領域。



愛普(6531 TW)13日發佈重大訊息,以新台幣5億元取得來頡科技股份有限公司(6799 TW) 4佰萬股股份,藉此一投資案,愛普可提升公司資金運用效益,同時也期望將愛普3D堆疊先進封裝經驗和技術進一步推展至電源管理應用領域。



愛普是全球領先的IoT記憶體解決方案供應商,不僅提供IoTRAMTM主要產品線,愛普更是全球第一家提供3D異質晶圓堆疊WoW技術以及VHMTM(Very High-bandwidth Memory)產品的創新方案提供者,該產品及技術在加密貨幣市場中已成功實踐且獲得高度認同,多家主晶片廠商看好愛普的技術優勢,藉由執行POC(Proof of Concept)項目來實現AI晶片效能。


愛普表示,電源管理擁有廣大的潛在應用領域,藉由愛普的各項技術能力,可以獲得更佳的解決方案。目前公司正在積極推展的整合式被動元件(IPD, Integrated Passive Device),是利用矽晶材料特性開發的矽電容(SiCap),能配合多種2.5D封裝,使主晶片能得到更好的電源和訊號品質來提高效能。另外,愛普為滿足高效能運算(HPC, High-performance Computing)在低電壓、高功率規格下不斷增加的穩壓需求,進一步切入電源管理領域,整合開發具有高效能高功率密度的電源傳輸架構。


來頡致力於高階電源管理IC的設計與銷售,提供包括:升/降壓轉換器、線性穩壓器、負載開關晶片、充放電管理晶片等產品。藉由來頡在電源管理領域的專業技術以及平台資源,搭配愛普的3D堆疊先進封裝經驗和技術,將有助於提供高性能供電需求的電源管理解決方案。


愛普指出,雙方在HPC電源管理應用的合作開發是長期規劃,目前還沒有時間表。藉由取得來頡9.56%的部分股權,推動雙方在3D封裝電源管理應用上的深度合作,期許能共享資源以及技術整合,強強聯手創新開發客製化、高效能、高品質的最適解決方案。
